1:1 Coaching

What is coaching?

Coaching is a powerful process for releasing the potential that we all have within ourselves to achieve.

What does a coach do?

A coach is a non judgemental collaborative partner, someone who helps you make positive changes in your life in a non-directive style.  By non-directive we mean that you won't be told " You better do this..." or "I think you should do ...." etc, your the expert on yourself and your environment, the coaches role is to use their skills to help you increase your awareness of what you can achieve and take responsibility for creating your desired outcomes.

Coaching is conducted in a professional manner using a variety of coaching skills whilst adhering to a code of standards and ethics.

What are the benefits?

For individuals:

  • Increased confidence and self belief
  • Achieve the successes you want
  • Stop putting things off until tomorrow
  • have a positive impact on those around you
  • Improve your personal effectiveness
  • Reduce your stress levels

For the Organisation:

  • Improve performance, productivity and profitability
  • Demonstrate a commitment to employee development
  • Increase employee retention
  • Improve morale and motivation
  • Support for newly promoted employees
  • Increase communication between all levels of employee.

How does it work?

Coaching takes place during regular sessions by phone or in person, all coaching appointments are agreed at your convenience.

During a coaching session the coach will focus on your agenda, helping you identify the gap between where you are and where you want to be, then help you explore options, set goals and maximise opportunities.

All sessions are conducted in the strictest confidence.

How long does someone work with a coach?

Effective coaching requires a minimum of three months, though successes can be achieved by short term coaching, whereas some clients may require a longer coaching program.

A coach has a responsibility to ensure that their client does not form a dependency on coaching to achieve goals and should empower the client throughout the coaching relationship.
